Hillside is a well-established family suburb between Taylors Lakes and Caroline Springs, close to Watergardens and the Calder Freeway. Homes range from 1990s family houses to near-new builds, and buyers are usually families looking for more room.
Decor 2 Sell stages and styles homes in Hillside regularly from our Derrimut warehouse, with our own furniture and install team, usually within 3 days of booking.

A Hillside home we staged
This near-new home has a timber-floored living room with windows on two sides, a dining area with a pendant light, a kitchen with dark cabinetry, a second lounge, a study and bedrooms with dark carpet. Empty, the dark floors and blinds made the rooms feel smaller than they are.
We kept the furniture pale to balance the darker finishes. Two cream sofas and a ribbed armchair sit on a jute rug in the main living room, with a timber sideboard and a gold-framed coffee table. A white dining table with curved chairs sits under the pendant. The second lounge has a boucle sofa and a soft grey rug, the study is set up with a desk and armchair, and the bedrooms have light bedheads with blush and charcoal accents.

Selling a family home in Hillside
- Two living areas. Furnishing both shows buyers the home has separate spaces for adults and children.
- A study that looks like one. With more people working from home, a styled study is a real selling point.
- Balance dark finishes. Light furniture and rugs brighten rooms with dark carpet or cabinetry.
Full staging for vacant Hillside homes
Empty homes are hard for buyers to read. We furnish the living areas, dining, bedrooms and outdoor spaces with our own furniture, art, rugs and linen, so buyers can see the size and purpose of every room. More about home staging.

Hillside home staging FAQs
How much does home staging cost in Hillside?
Our Hillside pricing follows our standard packages: from $2,000 for a one-bedroom home, and $2,300–$2,600 for most 3–4 bedroom houses, with a standard 6-week hire. Larger homes are quoted after a free consultation.
How quickly can you stage a home in Hillside?
Usually within 3 days of booking, depending on our schedule. The styling itself takes 30 minutes to 2 hours, so it is easy to fit in before your photographer.
Do you stage older Hillside homes as well as newer ones?
Yes. We stage both. In an older home, modern furniture and artwork help buyers look past dated curtains or fittings to the size and layout of the rooms.
Can you style my Hillside home while I’m still living in it?
Yes. Our property styling works around your furniture and daily life. We add the pieces, art and linen each room needs, and it is quoted on what your home actually requires.
