A new Harkness home we staged
This new home has an open-plan living room, a dining area beside glass sliding doors to the yard, a white kitchen with an island bench, and carpeted bedrooms. It was spotless, but with white walls and grey tiles the empty rooms had no warmth at all.
We brought in natural textures. Two cream sofas face each other across a jute rug with a round timber coffee table and a low timber TV unit. A round timber dining table with woven wishbone chairs sits by the sliding doors, so the yard becomes part of the picture. The bedrooms each have their own colour: charcoal and navy, rust stripes, and forest green.
