Watsonia is an established suburb of solid family homes on generous blocks, many of them with the same owners for decades. When these homes come up for sale they often have original features, such as heavy curtains, older carpets and timber details, and buyers need help seeing past them.
Decor 2 Sell stages and styles homes across Melbourne’s north and north-east with our own furniture and our own install team, usually within 3 days of booking.

An established Watsonia home we staged
This two-storey four-bedroom home has bay windows looking onto the garden, a timber staircase, a formal lounge, a family room, two dining areas and a sunroom. It also has its original deep red curtains, which dominate the formal lounge.
Rather than fight the house, we worked with it. Cream sofas, pale rugs and greenery sit in front of the red curtains so the room reads as warm instead of dated. The bay window has a round dining setting, the sunroom is set up as a home office, and the bedrooms have fresh, layered linen in calm colours.

Helping buyers see past a dated home
- Original features. Modern, neutral furniture makes older curtains, carpets and timber read as character instead of work to be done.
- Unusual rooms. Sunrooms, second dining rooms and retreats confuse buyers when they are empty. We give each one an obvious use.
- Families and renovators. Both are buying the block and the bones. Styling shows the home is comfortable to live in while they plan what comes next.
Full staging for vacant Watsonia homes
Empty homes are hard for buyers to read. We furnish the living areas, dining, bedrooms and outdoor spaces with our own furniture, art, rugs and linen, so buyers can see the size and purpose of every room. More about home staging.
Property styling for lived-in homes
Still living there? We work with the furniture you have, then add the pieces, art and linen that lift each room, and keep the home practical for daily life during the campaign. More about property styling.

Watsonia home staging FAQs
How much does home staging cost in Watsonia?
Our Watsonia pricing follows our standard packages: from $2,000 for a one-bedroom home, and $2,300–$2,600 for most 3–4 bedroom houses, with a standard 6-week hire. Larger homes are quoted after a free consultation.
How quickly can you stage a home in Watsonia?
Usually within 3 days of booking, depending on our schedule. The styling itself takes 30 minutes to 2 hours, so it is easy to fit in before your photographer.
Should I renovate before selling, or just stage?
Often staging is enough. Furniture, rugs, art and linen change how a dated home photographs for a fraction of the cost of new floors or a new kitchen. We can tell you honestly at the free consultation what is worth doing.
Can you style my Watsonia home while I’m still living in it?
Yes. Our property styling works around your furniture and daily life. We add the pieces, art and linen each room needs, and it is quoted on what your home actually requires.
