Frankston has changed a lot in the past few years. Older homes close to the bay and the station are being renovated and resold, and buyers range from first-home buyers to people moving out of the inner suburbs for more space near the water.
Decor 2 Sell stages and styles homes across Melbourne’s south-east with our own furniture and our own install team, usually within 3 days of booking.

An older-style Frankston home we staged
This three-bedroom home has dark polished timber floors, warm cream walls, an arched entry and a white kitchen with subway tiles. Homes like this have plenty of character, but empty they can look dark and smaller than they are.
We used cream sofas, a pale rug and light timber pieces to lift the dark floors, and set a dining setting in the nook beside the kitchen. Each of the three bedrooms has its own colour scheme, in neutral, blue and green, so buyers can tell them apart in the photos.

Photos taken by our install team on the day. Every piece is from our own Derrimut warehouse.
Styling Frankston’s older homes
- Dark timber floors. Beautiful, but they absorb light. Pale furniture and rugs bring the brightness back for the photos.
- Smaller rooms. We choose furniture that suits the scale, so compact lounges and bedrooms feel comfortable rather than crowded.
- Lifestyle buyers. People moving for the bay want a home that feels relaxed. We keep the styling light and coastal without overdoing it.
Full staging for vacant Frankston homes
Empty homes are hard for buyers to read. We furnish the living areas, dining, bedrooms and outdoor spaces with our own furniture, art, rugs and linen, so buyers can see the size and purpose of every room. More about home staging.
Property styling for lived-in homes
Still living there? We work with the furniture you have, then add the pieces, art and linen that lift each room, and keep the home practical for daily life during the campaign. More about property styling.
